Booting is a process of loading memory into the central processing unit(CPU) after we press the power button. This can be done either by the CPU’s hardware or by an independent processor on the computer.

    What is the Boot Menu?

In the introduction part, we have seen a glimpse of what the boot menu can do. It has many more uses, e.g. you can select how you want to access your operating systems if you have two operating systems.

What is BIOS and how to access Asus BIOS settings?

The BIOS (Basic Input/Output System), is a program the microprocessor runs in order to turn on the computer when it is powered on. BIOS controls the data flow between the Operating System and all hardware, including the keyboard, mouse, and hard disk.

After the power button has been pressed, simultaneously press the F2 Key to access the Asus BIOS.

    What is Boot Sequence?

The Boot Order also known as boot sequence allows the computer to check all devices, including USB & Hard Disk, on which the operating systems boot files are stored. It also indicates the order or sequence in which devices will be checked. BIOS settings can be used to change the Boot Order.
