How to Install old NVIDIA Drivers

    1. Install NVIDIA drivers using device manager

Windows has a built-in feature to roll back your drivers if there are previously installed video drivers on the system. Lets see how we can do this:

    1. Open the Start Menu and type Device Manager.

    Device Manager

    2. Open the drop-down menu under Display adapters and find your primary graphics card.

    3. Right-click your graphic card driver and select Properties.

    Registry Editor
    4. Go to the Driver tab at the top of the window and select Roll Back Driver.

    5. Follow the on-screen steps, and Windows 11 will install the previous driver.

    2. Uninstall the existing driver and install the older versions of the NVIDIA driver

In the first method we saw how to roll back the driver using Device Manager. But, the roll back option may be grayed out, it happens if there are no preinstalled video drivers in your PC.

    1. In that case, Navigate to the NVIDIA Advanced driver Search web page, and enter your graphic card information.

You can locate the name of your graphic card under your Device Manager if you don’t know it.

    2. Now that you know the Drivers name download the desired driver on your PC.

    3. You must uninstall the current NVIDIA driver first and then install the old versions of NVIDIA drivers.

Follow the steps to uninstall the drivers:

    1. Type Apps and Features into the Search Bar. Alternatively, you can type Add or remove programs into the Search Bar. Clicking on both the options will give similar results.

    2. You can search for NVIDIA by typing the name into the search box and then clicking on the uninstall button.

After the installation is complete, restart your computer and then install the NVIDIA driver you downloaded previously from NVIDIA Advanced Driver Search. Finally, reboot your computer. You will now be running an older NVIDIA driver for Windows 11.

If you are done installing the drivers and still facing issues then may be the cause of the problem is not the drivers but due to aforementioned causes that is malware attacks or change in system properties. In that case, I would suggest you to make a backup of your files and restore your PC to factory settings.
